Frequently asked questions
Can I sign up from Ireland today?
Yes. An Irish business, a limited company (Ltd, DAC or another company with a CRO number) or a sole trader, VAT registered or not, creates an account and chooses Ireland in its company details. Your company details can be filled in from the CRO’s open data and your VAT number is checked in VIES. You then issue invoices in euro, sent by email as a PDF, send reminders written for Irish law and share a payment page with your IBAN. Structured e-invoicing through an approved platform and e-reporting are for companies in France only.
Is there a commitment?
No. The monthly subscription (Small business and SME plans) has no commitment: stop whenever you like. The annual subscription is paid for 12 months and costs the same as 10 months, so 2 months are free, people included. The Essential plan costs €5 per person per month excl. VAT, paid yearly only (€50 per person excl. VAT): you can cancel it at any time for the next renewal.
How does subscribing work?
You choose your plan in your account and pay when you subscribe, by card or SEPA Direct Debit, at the same price: the first month, or the first year, is charged straight away (a SEPA Direct Debit is confirmed within a few days). No commitment: cancel at any time from your account, and the subscription stops at the end of the period already paid.
How are people counted?
Everyone who logs in to your account counts, including you: a partner, a colleague, your accountant. The Essential plan costs €5 per person per month excl. VAT, billed €50 a year. The Small business plan includes 2 people and the SME plan 3; each extra person costs €5 a month excl. VAT. You add a person from the app when you invite them.
Do prices include VAT?
No: all prices shown exclude VAT. Le Frac is invoiced by a Spanish company (EDJ XTECH LAW SCHOOL, S.L., EU VAT number ESB56240278). An Irish business with a valid VAT number is invoiced without VAT and accounts for the VAT itself under the reverse charge, as Revenue explains for services received from abroad. Without a VAT number, VAT is added, as a rule Spanish VAT at 21% (Small business plan: €22.99 a month incl. VAT, before any loyalty discount). The treatment is shown before you pay and appears on your invoice.
How does loyalty pricing work?
The longer you stay subscribed without a break, the less you pay. The Small business and SME plans get a loyalty discount for each completed year of subscription: full price in year 1, −5% from year 2 (from day 366), −10% in year 3, −15% in years 4 and 5, then −20% from year 6. It applies to the plan price (people included), not to extra people, who always stay at full price, monthly or annual. The Essential plan, already priced as low as we can, has no loyalty discount; the Enterprise plan is on quote. If your subscription lapses for more than 30 days, the count starts again from zero.
Can I change plans?
Yes. You can switch plans as your business changes, for example from Essential to Small business to start sending reminders, or from Small business to SME when your invoice volume grows.
What if I issue more invoices than planned?
Each plan includes a monthly volume of issued invoices per company: 50 on Essential, 300 on Small business, 1,500 on SME. Beyond that, pricing depends on volume: contact us (contact@lefrac.io). Issuing is never blocked and nothing extra is billed automatically; receiving your supplier invoices is never limited.
Can I manage several companies?
Yes. The Essential and Small business plans cover one company: each extra company has its own subscription. The SME plan covers up to 3 companies you own, at no extra cost: you attach them to your SME subscription from your account. If the SME subscription stops or moves to another plan, the attached companies lose access and their data is kept. More than 3 companies: Enterprise plan, on quote.
How do my customers pay my invoices?
By SEPA bank transfer, straight to your account, with no intermediary and no fees: each invoice’s payment page shows your IBAN, the amount and the reference to use, and your customer can click “I’ve paid”. Card payment is coming soon.
What does the Essential plan include?
Issuing your invoices, for €5 per person per month excl. VAT, billed €50 a year (annual payment only), with 50 invoices issued per month included. For a business in Ireland, that means VAT invoices in euro with the Irish particulars, sent by email as a PDF. For companies in France, Essential covers what French law requires, with an approved platform and e-reporting. Reminders, the payment page, quotes and cash flow come with the Small business and SME plans.
Does Le Frac send e-invoices over Peppol for Ireland?
Not yet. Today, Le Frac sends your invoices by email as a PDF, which is a valid VAT invoice with your customer’s agreement. Revenue’s plan for mandatory e-invoicing starts in November 2028 and is not yet law; e-invoicing for Ireland will be added to Le Frac before those dates apply.
What is the Enterprise plan?
For large organisations and groups: more than 3 companies, invoice volumes and number of people tailored to you, roles and single sign-on (SSO), these last features being in preparation. The price is set on quote: write to us at contact@lefrac.io.
