E-invoicing timeline

France now, the UK in 2029.

Le Frac already works with the French reform, which is in force. In the UK, the government has announced mandatory e-invoicing for VAT invoices from April 2029; until then, a PDF sent by email can be a valid VAT invoice if your customer agrees. The guide explains both, with official sources.

  1. France, in force1 September 2026

Every business subject to VAT in France must be able to receive e-invoices. Large and mid-sized companies issue them too.

  2. France, next step1 September 2027

SMEs, small businesses and micro-enterprises in France issue e-invoices in turn and send their e-reporting data.

  3. UK, plannedApril 2029
